There’s been a lot of dreaming on the brain recently – including finding ways to shut out the noise from folks who find a reason to shoot down ideas. I figured why not add one more idea to the pile already floating out there for projects – in this case one for a farmers market near Railroad Park that would take advantage of one of Birmingham, AL’s top assets – its foodie culture.
My mea culpa about WordCamp Birmingham 2010. I just had to get a few things off of my chest, including planting the seeds for a conversation about the future of the event in Birmingham, AL (maybe during the Sunday evening at Railroad Park…).
Food is fun, period. It’s also a great way thing to build a community around. I got a reminder of just how big of a community I was a part of back in Georgia and why I think it’s important no matter where you are.
Playing in the dirt earlier this year in the lot next door has now got me thinking about whether or not I’m ready to tackle the next challenge – and whether most people are ready most times…
