Despite wanting to be able to walk more often, I still enjoy going out and exploring. You never know what you’re going to stumble across – even a lion carved from the remains of a tree.
It’s nice to support the latest and greatest – but to focus on it only to the detriment of other parts of a city or a neighborhood seems a little unfair. We need to be willing to understand that just because something is open and available doesn’t mean that everyone will have access to it.
I just wanted to give folks an update on what I know about plans for this year’s WordCamp in Birmingham, AL (and to say thanks for the support of those in the local WordPress community over the last three years).
Last night the sounds of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra filled Railroad Park along with the din of rail cars gliding through Alabama’s Magic City.
I’m putting out a call to anyone who is interested in adding their voices to the ones in my head thinking about where to steer the oldest young professional civic organization in Birmingham, AL (and one of the oldest in the country). I’m open to any and all suggestions. There are even a few questions included to help guide your thoughts…
