Random Shots: Brite blue dots get larger in the Magic City

bright-blue-dot.jpg

This is probably the largest “Brite Blue Dot” I’ve ever seen. For those not familiar, this campaign began during the 2004 election here in Alabama. It has grown substatially in metro Birmingham and nationwide. With elections approaching, I guess it was only a matter of time before they started including buildings in the act. This image shows what people driving into town along Richard Arrington, Jr. Blvd. will see for the immediate future during their drives into the city center. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next.
If you want to learn more about this phenomenon, visit britebluedot.com.

There are some more images from the weekend in the previous post regarding the clean up effort in Ensley on Saturday morning as part of the Renew our Rivers campaign. More later.

Enjoy the day.

Cheers.
