I just felt the need to put something up today

So we’ve already told you about one option for this evening (scroll down after you click to learn more about the event) if you feel like helping out a fundraising effort during the 2006 holiday season. Well, there’s one more…

Dine Around Town tonight at WorkPlay

Birmingham MySpace has organized a Christmas event entitled “Dine Around Town” that is happening tonight over at the land of WorkPlay. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. and go until 9 p.m. tonight. Six restaurants have donated gift cards to bid on with proceeds going to benefit the local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. It will be a slightly different version of the venue’s WorkPlay Wednesday, only with six restaurants worth of appetizers (or so those that are attending hope)!

Dolby brings awareness to Tigers for Tomorrow

Last night was a great night for fans of Thomas Dolby. While Taylor Hicks’ fans were determining if they were going to buy his debut CD, Dolby performed at WorkPlay on Birmingham’s Southside. On the way to the show, Dolby decided to make a stop in Attala, Alabama to visit Tigers for Tomorrow at Untamed Mountain. Dolby decided to post a blog describing the visit on his site yesterday; here’s a link. The visit was the result of a volunteer for the sanctuary from Birmingham, Alabama looking to increase its visibility and raise awareness about it in the community. I’d say that Amy was quite successful in both regards.

Have a good evening.

Cheers.

Thanks, Dre... please come visit Tigers for Tomorrow yourself! Our main avenue to success is to have people visit, especially people who will then share their adventure with an audience. Like Thomas... and like you have with your blog.

Thanks.
