This one falls in the posting about one of my target districts from work category.
This is one of the many signs of commercial investment taking place in the Ensley community, one that we’ve looked at several times previously on the blog. The dealership will be moving from Hueytown to anchor one of the major entries into the Ensley community. Other current projects include:
A new Green Acres franchise preparing to open at the beginning of next year
An expansion of a local pediatrician’s office to allow for more staff and waiting room space
A new clothing consignment shop, Recycled Wardrobe
Renovation of the former Bank of Ensley building as the offices for Monumental Contracting
A planned renovation of a former A&P grocery store for use as a Family Dollar location
It’s a crazy, but fun time with all of these investments happening at once. It should be a glimpse of what could be coming, especially with renewed interest in the Bush Hills and Ensley Highlands neighborhoods on Birmingham’s west side as well as the pending completion of the Tuxedo Court HOPE VI project underway.
Maybe we’ll see some of you there. Enjoy the weekend.
Cheers.
