I blame my parents (gleefully) for the fact that I look forward to the Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday every year. It’s not for Rio, or Mobile, but for Port of Spain and San Fernando in Trinidad and what I may be able to enjoy from a distance. One day I hope that I can get back down there, but for now I enjoy a few of the classic calypsos of yesteryear. I figured that since I wasn’t necessarily trying to sell them that I’d post two of my favorites here for others to listen to.
