The Year in Review: January and a little December ‘05 too

UPDATE: February’s up now (right here)

Honestly, when I started looking at the number of people reading the blog and the number of pages, I figured we’d have some cool posts to share from the first part of the year.

Well, there aren’t many at all from January; as a matter of fact, there’s only one.

“Dreaming…” was written the day after our country’s national recognition of the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It was written as a way to look at some of the issues associated with his legacy. I doubt very many people read it the first time, especially since it was still relatively early in the life of the blog, but it was one of the more interesting commentaries that I tried to write before.

I decided I’d better dig back a little farther into the bowels of the blog for some additional materials. I decided that we’d link to a couple of post from last December as well:

Light it up! – We’ve already linked to this post earlier this month. It was written about the time the switch got flipped on the City Federal sign. It’s typical of a lot of the talk about rebirth in the city, a topic that still continues to intrigue people more than a year later; it’s probably going to do so for some time to come.

Well, next stop, the best of February. More tomorrow.

Enjoy the day.

Cheers.
